SOURCES AND METHODOLOGY
Where the data comes from.
Every figure comes from Thailand's Ministry of Public Health, Department of Disease Control (its Division of AIDS and STIs and its Division of Epidemiology), published through the HIV INFO HUB+. Each page names the exact dataset, links to it, states the year and shows what Ovio calculated itself.
- Estimates, reported cases and service records are kept apart and labelled, and never combined into one measure.
- A missing value stays missing. It is never turned into zero, and years are never filled in.
- Ovio's own calculations (such as percentage change) are labelled “Ovio calculation”.
