Who writes our guides
Guides are written by the Ovio Wellness editorial team. When a guide is written by one named person, that person is credited in the byline with their real name and qualifications. When a guide is written by the team, it is credited to the Ovio Wellness Editorial Team rather than to an individual.
We never invent authors, credentials or reviewers.
Where our information comes from
Clinical information is based on current guidance from public-health bodies and clinical guideline groups, such as the World Health Organization, the US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, the UK National Health Service and national specialist guidelines, and on peer-reviewed research.
Each guide lists the sources it relies on. Where sources give different figures, such as test window periods, we say so and name the test type each figure applies to.
Medical review
A guide shows Medically reviewed by only when a named clinician has reviewed it, together with the date of that review. A guide without this line has not been medically reviewed, and we do not suggest otherwise.
Dates and updates
Every guide shows the date it was published. An updated date appears only when the content has changed in a meaningful way, not when a page is simply rebuilt or reformatted.
We review guides when the guidance they rely on changes, and when readers or clinicians tell us something needs correcting.
Our guides and our services
Ovio Wellness provides healthcare services in Bangkok, and some guides explain how those services work or link to them. A guide's clinical information is not changed to promote a service, and a guide should help you decide what is right for you, including when another provider or an emergency department is the better option.
Not personal medical advice
Our guides give general information. They are not a diagnosis and do not replace advice from a doctor who knows your situation. Read our Medical Disclaimer for more.
Corrections and feedback
If you think something in a guide is wrong or out of date, please contact us and tell us which guide and what needs checking. We review every report and update the guide when a correction is needed.
